Robotics with Scratch Level 1
8-9 years old

What we study:
In this program, children use the Scratch 3.0 software to build and code their own robots. They will have the opportunity to create unique mini-games, animations, and merge these creations with robot programming.

A look into the class:
The beginning of the course follows a presentation animated by the teacher, in which children will learn about a different topic in each class. For instance, they will be using the coding software to build a simple snowboarding game, then they will have the opportunity to build a Lego exoskeleton robot which they will program to be the controls of the game. This will take their conceptual understanding of robotics one step further by seeing how their builds interact with their mini game and animations.

What we achieve:
This course aims to enhance children's logical, technological, and analytical thinking abilities. Children deepen their knowledge in creative and operational thinking and communication skills while developing programming skills. They also work in pairs to develop further their teamwork and cooperation skills.
