Description

Our courses consist of two semesters: Level 1 and Level 2, which take place within one year and include a total of 37 classes. Typically, students complete a year of lessons before moving on to a more advanced course. However, in some cases, if their teacher believes they are ready, they can advance earlier.

Payment methods

Please choose one of the following payment methods upon registration:

Block - 1 payment every 5 classes

Semester - 1 payment twice a year (Please note: price varies depending on number of classes per semester)

Block: By choosing this payment option upon registration, you'll have a payment due every 5th class*. To ensure your enrollment, subsequent payments should be made no later than the day of the last paid class. You can conveniently make payments over the phone, online or at the reception desk. Please be aware that if the payment is not received by the day of the last paid class, your spot within the group may become available for waitlisted students.

*Please note that due to the structure of the schedule, the last payment of each semester may include up to 6 remaining classes.

Semester: By choosing this payment option upon registration, you will benefit from a discounted price per class. With this option, you’ll make payments twice a year, aligning with our two semesters. A full year consists of 2 semesters; the fall semester includes 16 classes and the winter semester includes 21 classes. This payment option is available for selection until October 2nd, 2023 for the Fall semester and until February 12th, 2024 for the Winter semester. After these dates, the semester payment option will no longer be applicable. Please refer to Block payment for more options.

Early withdrawal fee: In the event of an early withdrawal before the final paid class, a fee of $35 will be applicable. The remaining amount corresponding to the unattended classes will be transferred to your family credit account and can be used towards any activity at our school.

Programming with Spike Prime (Ages 9 - 11)

What we study:
In this course, students will be given the opportunity to create their own independent robots using the Lego Spike Prime set, and they will get to bring their builds to life while developing their skills in programming!

A look into the class:
Throughout each class, students will assemble unique robots that will have specific tasks that they will need to complete. This hands-on approach encourages them to use their problem-solving skills within the realms of robotics and coding. For instance, they might be asked to construct a robot that can play a drumbeat. While they'll receive building instructions and a programming blueprint, they'll need to come up with the code that produces the drumming rhythm. This process deepens their comprehension of coding principles.

What we achieve:
Students will discover the vital electronic components behind their creations, like color sensors and tilt sensors. They'll master the basics of programming and grasp the concept of variables. With these newfound skills, they'll create programs for their robots to complete tasks set by their teacher. Furthermore, they'll enhance their critical thinking, while identifying essential components for successful robot building.
