Description

Robotics for Beginners (Ages 7 - 8) ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿš€

When:
Once a week for 1.5 hours

What we learn:
In this course, students will bring their LEGO creations to life by building and programming autonomous robots! They will use LEGO Education WeDo 2.0, an introductory drag-and-drop coding platform, to program their robots to complete tasks. Along the way, they will explore essential engineering concepts, including motors, suspension, gears, and transmissions, to create functional and efficient designs.

A look into the class:
Each session begins with a teacher-led presentation introducing a new topic. For example, in an Off-Road Vehicle class, students will learn how these vehicles work, their history, and the key components that allow them to move. Then, working in pairs, they will use iPads for step-by-step guidance to construct and program their robots. The teacher provides support, encourages problem-solving, and fosters discussions to help students refine their builds. ๐Ÿ—๏ธ๐Ÿ’ก

What we achieve:
By using WeDo 2.0, students will code and control their own robots, gaining an introduction to the world of programming and automation. They will explore sensors, manipulation, infrared, and wireless connections, as well as mechanisms like crank, transmission, gear, and belt systems. Through hands-on learning and teamwork, students will develop critical thinking, creativity, and a strong foundation in robotics and engineering! ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ”ง

Robotics for Beginners (Âges 7 - 8 ans) ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿš€

Ce que nous accomplissons::
๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ”ง

Our courses consist of two semesters: Level 1 and Level 2, which take place within one year and include a total of 37 classes. Typically, students complete a year of lessons before moving on to a more advanced course. However, in some cases, if their teacher believes they are ready, they can advance earlier.
